Sploot Veterinary Care - Highlands, Denver
Why Pet Parents Love Sploot
Very warm and caring, and I'm glad they offer urgent care every day of the week.Accidents happen every day (especially with little kittens!), so having a vet that can see you quickly was a relief, especially one with such a nice office and wonderful staff!Little Pari took a tumble and even though she seemed fine, the vet looked her over to put a worried kitty-mom's heart at ease!
Brought our dog in for a same-day urgent care visit after a few days of GI illness and we were wowed by the kindness, attention and knowledge of the staff. The vets took their time with our exam, kept us informed at every step, and we didn’t feel rushed at all; they ran all necessary tests and have our girl feeling better less than 24 hours later. They even texted us the next day to check in. So thankful for this fabulous staff and all their guidance!
Was able to conveniently make an appointment online. The staff was very friendly to us and our dog. They took good care of him and treated him quickly for a minor procedure. I would highly recommend to anyone as a regular vet but definitely take advantage of their urgent care.
Vet tech and Dr. Mote were so great! Amazing bedside care. Very kind, understanding about keeping my anxious pup comfortable. Came in with my dogs allergic reaction and hot spot over a holiday. Very open and straightforward about treatment options. Cost was less than expected. 100% recommended. Will be doing primary care here after this great experience.
I brought my cat in for the first time after moving back to Denver. The vet that saw him was so gentle and kind, conducting all of her tests while sitting on the floor playing with him. Before any treatments, shots, or boosters were given, they went over everything with me including the cost so there were no surprises. The office is very cute, clean, and organized, and I felt like everyone there cared just as much for my little one as I do. I highly recommend Sploot!
Nice, clean facility with convenient parking but most importantly warm, friendly people. They took the time to listen and make sure my questions were answered. Having a nervous, easily frightened cat, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the exam and shots went!
My sweet baby ate some weed that my friend left at my house and i was so scared, but they took the time to reassure me that she would be fine and were so gentle and calming towards my puppy. They were able to fit me into their schedule with very little notice and didn’t try to convince me to get any unnecessary tests or procedures done, and what they did do for my girl they explained fully. If i ever have another emergency, I’m definitely bringing her here!
"What a great experience! We were floored with our first visit. A refreshingly modern and pup-first approach to pet care. Dr Jake was a dog whisperer in getting our sometimes (okay always) ornery Bernedoodle to relax for a shot...The digital scheduling and billing makes logistics a cinch- will be recommending Sploot to all of our pup Scout’s friends!"
"I really appreciate how Dr Jake took the time to let my dog warm up to him, and even lick cheese off his hands, before jumping into the exam. Everyone involved had the dog in mind, making the experience as comfortable for her as possible".

Growing up in Littleton, Colorado in the foothills, Dr. Jessica Apted and her family always had many loving cats and dogs around, which showed her the importance of the human-animal bond. Dr. Apted was able to explore, from a young age, the veterinary field by volunteering at local hospitals and rescues. After graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Apted worked at several small animal general practices in the Denver Metro area. In her free time she enjoys camping, traveling, cooking and spoiling her golden retriever Harley.
Since she can remember, Dr. Sylvia has been inspired to become a veterinarian by her love for animals and her natural ability to care for them. After earning her Veterinary Doctorate at the University of Florida, her passion was driven further by her desire to connect with pet parents and help them to improve the lives of their pets. Dr. Sylvia has a special interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. Outside of work she likes traveling, hiking, and brewery hopping with her husband and sweet dogs, Lizzy and Ralph.
Veronica is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She started her career at a Denver Animal Shelter, where she developed her passion for dental medicine in dogs and cats. She continued to expand her skills working at General Practices.
When she's not caring and loving for animals, she loves gardening, hiking, and spending time with her family. She has a Pug named Winky whose hobbies include eating and sleeping.
for Breanna was born and raised in Northern Minnesota and graduated from NDSU with a Bachelors in Veterinary Technology. She has found a passion working in emergency medicine with a mix of GP. Starting in kindergarten her teacher asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up and it was always to be a Veterinarian. Since then she has surrounded herself with loving and caring for animals. Outside of work Breanna enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and playing with her lab Stormy.
