Colorado Springs is a dog-friendly city with plenty to offer, including numerous dog parks where four-legged companions can run, roam, and play. While most dog parks in Colorado Springs are fenced, some off-leash areas are not; furthermore, amenities can vary greatly. This is why it’s important for pet parents to know what to expect.
In this Sploot Vets guide, we explore some of the area's dog parks, ranging from amenity-packed hidden gems to expansive open fields.
Note: Although some of the following featured dog parks in Colorado Springs have waste bag dispensers and water fountains, we always recommend pet parents to bring their own, in case of temporary unavailability.
1. Eastridge Dog Park
- Location: 2324 Shawnee Dr, Colorado Springs, CO
- Highlights: Off-leash dog park in Colorado Springs, fully fenced, separate area for small dogs, water available

This dog park is fully enclosed with a chain-link fence and features soft, sandy terrain that is gentle on the paws, as well as some trees and patches of grass (depending on the season). This dog park comes complete with basic amenities like benches for sitting, bag dispensers, waste stations, and water.

2. Palmer Park Dog Park

Palmer Park Dog Park is a fully fenced dog park in Colorado Springs, with a designated area for small dogs. This dog park has a soft sandy terrain and patches of grass (depending on the season). Logs placed inside the enclosure double as seating or climbing structures for dogs.
This dog park also features a water fountain to help your pup stay hydrated, but some pet parents have noted that the water is NOT always available.
3. Rampart Dog Park
- Location: 8250 Lexington Dr, Colorado Springs, CO
- Highlights: Off-leash dog park in Colorado Springs, fully fenced, water available seasonally
Located just around 10 minutes from Interquest Marketplace, Rampart Dog Park is nestled within the Rampart Community Park, a recreational outdoor space with a playground, sports fields, and picnic areas.
Rampart Dog Park is an enclosed space, surrounded by a chain-link fence, where your dog can burn off excess energy. Many pups enjoy running and jumping over obstacles, such as logs and tires. Meanwhile, pet parents can relax on benches positioned near the fence line. The terrain is primarily sandy, with patches of grass (depending on the season).
While water is available seasonally, it's always a good idea to bring your own water to keep your furry friend hydrated.

4. Wolf Ranch Dog Park (Woof Ranch Dog Park)
- Location: 8701 Wolf Recreation Point, Colorado Springs, CO
- Highlights: Off-leash dog park in Colorado Springs, fully fenced, agility course
11 minutes from both Powers Pointe and Interquest Marketplace, Woof Ranch Dog Park (also known as Wolf Ranch Dog Park) is a fully enclosed, off-leash area located in Wolf Ranch, a master-planned residential community.
The Woof Ranch Dog Park, located near the community’s Recreation Center, has separate areas for large and small dogs. There are also numerous amenities to make your visit pleasant and convenient, including an agility course, a leash locker, a dog trash station, and benches for sitting. The terrain is sandy, with patches of grass (depending on the season).
Unlike other dog parks listed here, this dog park does not have a water fountain, so pet parents are strongly encouraged to bring their own water.
5. Garden of the Gods Off-Leash Area
- Location: 1657 N 30th St, Colorado Springs, CO
- Highlights: Off-leash area in Colorado Springs, NOT fenced, grassy field
Garden of the Gods is a massive, iconic public park that offers numerous dog-friendly hiking trails, ranging from easy to moderate in difficulty, and from paved to rocky in terrain. All their trails are sure to impress with stunning rock formations. After a short hike, your dog may still have some energy to burn, and this is where the Garden of the Gods Off-Leash Area comes in handy.
The Garden of the Gods Off-Leash Area is situated in the southeast corner of the park. This is an open grassy field with NO fence, where dogs can run to their heart’s content. However, since this off-leash area has no fence, we only recommend letting your dog off-leash if they are well-trained, not prone to running away, and have a reliable recall.
