Dr. Sallee’s Veterinary Journey

Dr. Marissa Sallee graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2014. Her interest in medicine began at a young age, inspired by her love for animals and her early fascination with becoming a doctor. Watching the television show Emergency Vets and working alongside veterinarians during high school helped her discover her passion for veterinary medicine. With encouragement from her mother, who nurtured her love for animals, Dr. Sallee pursued a career that would allow her to combine her medical interests with her dedication to animal health and well-being.

Outside of Work

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Sallee enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring everything Colorado has to offer. Hiking, camping, and off-roading are among her favorite activities, while baking and cross-stitching provide opportunities to unwind at home. She is also a devoted pet parent to four beloved companions: Charlotte, Bowie, Cosmos, and Bebe. Charlotte is a spirited senior Shih Tzu, while Bebe is a sweet 17-year-old senior cat who enjoys snuggling. Bowie and Cosmos, her two playful orange cats, bring plenty of laughter and personality to the household. Dr. Sallee affectionately jokes that the two share a limited supply of brain cells, and which one has more depends on the day!
