Dr. Leanna Hendrix graduated from Auburn University in 2024. Inspired by a desire to help animals in need, she pursued veterinary medicine as a career where she could make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. She is a Fear Free certified veterinarian who is dedicated to providing compassionate, attentive veterinary care.
As an Associate Veterinarian at Sploot Veterinary Care in Denver, Dr. Hendrix has a special interest in dermatology. She values Sploot's availability 365 days a year, which gives pet parents convenient access to veterinary services throughout the year. Her favorite part of working at Sploot is the team and culture, where she has opportunities to learn and grow alongside fellow veterinary professionals.
Since joining Sploot, Dr. Hendrix has expanded her clinical abilities by learning to perform complex dental procedures, further developing the skills she uses to care for patients. As a Sploot client herself, she has also been able to access dental care for all three of her own pets.
When she's not working, Dr. Hendrix loves staying active and exploring the outdoors. Rock climbing, skiing, and climbing Colorado's famous 14ers are among her favorite activities. At home, she is a proud pet parent to three companions: Hank, an 8-year-old Beagle; Nalani, a 6-year-old Russian Blue; and Halibut, a 6-year-old domestic long-haired cat. Together, they bring plenty of personality and companionship to Dr. Hendrix's life.
