We'll meet your pet, do a full nose-to-tail exam, and make sure they're healthy and ready for anesthesia. Your vet will walk you through the plan, answer every question, and give you an estimate based on your pet's size and needs.
Bloodwork is required before we schedule the procedure — it ensures your pet's body is in top shape for anesthesia. Once your pet is cleared, you'll have 30 days to schedule the surgery before we need new labs.
Bloodwork cost varies depending on what's needed for your pet. Cleared pets have 30 days to schedule surgery before new labs are required.

Mochi
Mochi the cat strutted out post-neuter like the king of the world. His family said he's calmer, cuddlier, and still very much in charge of the couch.
Common questions
Spay & neuter, answered.
Yes! We run full exams and bloodwork before the procedure and monitor your pet every step of the way.
Spay = removing the ovaries/uterus (females). Neuter = removing the testicles (males).
They'll still be themselves — just calmer, healthier, and less likely to roam or mark.
Most pets feel back to normal in a day or two, with full recovery in 10–14 days.
Yep! We'll schedule a quick follow-up to check healing and remove sutures if needed.
Yes — CareCredit is available for any procedure over $200.
Absolutely. You'll save on the consultation, procedure, and follow-up meds.
Dogs are usually spayed or neutered at 6 months or older, and cats a bit earlier — around 5 months. The ideal timing depends on breed, size, and health, so your vet will confirm the best window at your consultation.
Yes. Older pets can be spayed or neutered safely — the pre-op exam and bloodwork matter even more here to confirm they're a good candidate for anesthesia. They may not get the full preventive benefit of doing it young, but there are still real health upsides.
In some places, yes. Denver requires dogs and cats over 6 months to be spayed or neutered (barring a medical exemption), and it's tied to pet licensing. Rules vary by city, so check your local municipality for the specifics where you live.
