Sploot veterinarian Dr. Pamela Nicholls also highlighted our collaboration with Lifeline Puppy Rescue and the Number 38 Puppy Bowl Event, one of many adoption events sponsored by Sploot to help dogs and cats who are looking for loving families. 

Dr. Nicholls explained: “We work with a lot of rescues, including Lifeline, to provide these sponsored puppy adoptions - what that means is that we provide free wellness exams to new adopters and are happy to set them up with a lot of information and resources, like our Puppy 101 Guide and our new puppy pack.”

The adoptable dogs, delicious dog-themed cocktails, great music, local vendors, FREE swag, and terrific company all made for a lovely afternoon on July 29 at Yappy Hour! 

On July 29, we enjoyed a lovely summer afternoon at the Terminal Bar patio during the Union Station farmers market with our pals at Soul Dog Rescue and other local vendors for Yappy Hour. Read on to see why you should join us for the next Yappy Hour at Union Station! 

During the Yappy Hour adoption event, pet parents and aspiring pet parents had the opportunity to meet adorable, adoptable dogs; sip on delicious, dog-themed cocktails; jam out to great music; explore the vendors; and get FREE swag from Sploot! As if meeting your new furry soulmate isn’t great enough, people also enjoyed making new human friends and soaking up some summer fun with the community (with tasty drinks in hand, of course). 

We love supporting our local animal rescues, so we went BIG at Yappy Hour with tons of great freebies and pup cups for anyone interested in adopting! For those who chose to adopt at the event, we also gave out puppy packets and swag bags filled to the brim with all the goodies people and their new pups could ever want.

As one of the hottest festivals in Denver, we were proud to provide iced tea and water to everyone who came to visit us- both of the canine and human variety! Not just your average hydration station, we also treated festival attendees to water bowls, pup cups, and tons of free goodies. People were also able to spin our wheel to win all kinds of great swag, including the oppaw-tunity to get $50 off their first wellness visit at one of our Sploot locations! To make the day even better, we also brought bubbles… Does it get any more fun than that? 

We loved meeting everyone and their pups, and learning more about the beautiful culture that lives right here in our home city! Thank you to those who stopped by and supported the cause.

Puppies in Pajamas? Count us in. Movie Night with Rescue Puppy Yoga at Call to Arms Brewing Company on July 13 was the coziest evening!

The Puppies and Pajamas Movie Night at Call to Arms Brewing Company offered just about everything you could ask for: adorable rescue pups and kittens wearing pajamas, delicious sips, and a movie! What’s better than that? 

‍

Not only did the attendees have the opportunity to sip on a cold beer while watching the classic, Best in Show, but they were also provided with endless amounts of snuggles from the adoptable pups and kittens from Rescue Puppy Yoga! To top it off, we also handed out tasty treats and offered Polaroid photos to all of the paw-ticipants!

Here at Sploot, we love our partners and making a difference. To help the rescue animals, we donated $5 to Rescue Puppy Yoga every time attendees subscribed to our blog!

Here at Sploot, we’re all about having a good time! Not only did we have tons of bubbles at our celebration, but we also had a tennis ball pool for all of your canine companions to enjoy.

Our spin the wheel was a total hit! We gave away so many fun and FREE swag items including fanny packs, cat toys, water bowls, and more. And that’s not even the best part! We collaborated with our friends (and newest neighbors) to give away a romantic date night to one of our lucky social media followers. The giveaway included a $250 gift card at Alchemy Face Bar for a pre-date spa session, a $100 gift card for a wine and dine night at Postino with toast flights and two bottles of wine, a $50 gift card to catch a movie night at the AMC theater, and a $25 gift card to top off the night with a frozen dessert from Gelato Boy. Thank you, Denver, for a paws-itively amazing Pride month! We had a ball celebrating Denver Pride with you all month long. 

Here at Sploot, we are proud to be a LGBTQ+ owned business and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community. As a company that is always striving to be an inclusive environment, we encourage all of our staff members, pets, pet parents, and community members to show up as their authentic selves. 

At this year’s Pride celebration, we raised the woof at not just one but TWO doggie drag shows! On June 10, we partnered up with our pals at Denver Beer Company to put on the most adorable drag show of all. With the icon Ximena Latinx as our host, so many fabulous pups (and their incredible paw-rents) showed up to strut their stuff and relish in the fun with the tasty pup cups we provided! We also had a blast handing out the best free swag and pup cups at our doggie drag show with CTA and Rescue Puppy Yoga on June 17. The second place winners of both shows got a complete Sploot swag bag filled to the brim with goodies for the humans and their lovely companions! 

We were also honored to sponsor the 2023 Pride 5K- and it was a total hit! With over 3,000 runners and walkers, this year broke the record for the most paw-ticipants! We also joined in the fun at PrideFest and loved meeting all of you all your dazzling dogs.

A Bountiful Brunch

A special day calls for a special brunch. We treated our party-cipants to a delicious brunch of coffee and maple bacon donuts. We also treated fur babies to delicious bacon-flavored treats and pup cups!

Pawsome Polaroid All Day Long

Pet parents and their furry best friends struck poses and preserved fun memories on stunning polaroids. The polaroid photo booth we had came with an assortment of cute backgrounds — but we all know the cuteness factor was mainly from our adorable canine (and feline) best friends.

Tasty Treats!

It wouldn’t be a grand celebration without Yappy Hour — or three Yappy Hours! From 1 pm to 4 pm, Camp Bow Wow's bone bar and roll-to-win game was open for all pet parents who were eager to make custom treats for their fur babies!

For the latter hours of our grand celebration, we served up custom Platt Park cookies for both humans and their pet best friends! Thank you, Cosmo’s Bakery and Bella’s Cookies for supplying the sweet treats!

EVENT: Sploot x Chill Out Dog Training — Leash Training 

Calling all Denver dog parents to our first “Sploot in the Park” event of the year! Get ready for a day of exciting giveaways, treats, and fun with fellow pet parents. This March 5, 2023, the focus of our first Sploot in the Park Dog Training Event will be leash training. 

Who is this Event for?

Have you ever wished that your pup or canine companion can gracefully walk on a leash — with no tugging, yanking, or pulling? Are you ready to take to the streets, to dog parks, and other dog-friendly destinations with a well-behaved pup on a lead? 

If you said yes to the above, this dog training event is just what the dogtor ordered.  

Leash skills can be learned by pups as early as 4 months old — but even adult dogs can polish leash skills too! Our partners, the expert dog trainers from Chill Out Dog Training, are here to guide you each step of the way. Experience their unique and time-proven training methodology in a relaxed park atmosphere!

This Sploot in the Park Dog Training Event is open to all Denver dog parents with a dog that is at least 4 months old. There is no upper limit to dog age here; adult dogs are very welcome!

We’ve got paw-some news for Denver pet parents! Sploot Veterinary Care is opening its third clinic in Platt Park! On Tuesday, February 28, Sploot - Platt Park will open its doors at 1165 S Broadway in Denver, Colorado. We’re excited to join this funky cool corner of the neighborhood as a fellow local small business, bringing something special to the community.

This location will have all the great features our Sploot pet parents know and love: a beautiful, calming clinic, expert care teams, and amazing availability.

What are we most excited about? Well, this is our biggest clinic yet. And because Platt Park will be open 10am - 10pm, 365 days a year (just like every Sploot location!), we’ll be able to offer same-day or next-day primary AND urgent care to even more pet parents, across our network of clinics. 

What a relief! Pet parents will be able to schedule great veterinary care whenever it’s convenient for them — whether it’s in 3 hours or 3 months from now. 

To celebrate the opening of Sploot - Platt Park, we’re doing all sorts of fun giveaways with our current and incoming pet parents — like handing out our latest bandana designs (with matching fanny packs and socks – no big deal!) or entering EVERY pet parent who’s got an appointment (at our Platt Park location) for an awesome Denver staycation! Each of our new locations will feature all the great features pets and pet parents love, from our super friendly team and warm, modern clinic vibes to great availability and hours. Plus, having more locations across the Denver area means that we’ll be able to offer even more same day or next day appointments to pet parents.

At Sploot Veterinary Care, we put in a conscious effort to create a positive, appreciative workplace. At the end of the day, it’s not only about happy pet parents, pets, and vets. The valuable contribution of our veterinary technicians and assistants is the glue that holds everything together — so that our veterinary clinic can continue to give the high level of care that we’ve been committed to delivering since day one! 

In celebration of the National Veterinary Technician Week, Sploot’s vet techs and assistants were given a week-long celebration, filled with special surprises.

Because nothing brings people together quite like good food, we treated our veterinary technicians and assistants to catered brunch and lunch! Taco lovers were particularly happy with the taco bar we had set up!

And for the pups in the clinic (they are always included in our celebrations), we prepared barkuterie boards filled with delicious and healthy treats.  

Chair Massages

Last but not least, we treated our vet techs and assistants to chair massages. For a whole two days, we put together a special space in the break room just for soothing, stress-relieving, and immune-function-optimizing chair massages.

This new location will feature everything our pet parents love about our Highlands clinic - a warm, empathetic vet team, great availability (10am - 10pm, 365 days a year) in a vibrant new clinic space in the heart of the arts district of Denver. This clinic is conveniently located near many current and future apartment buildings - we’re excited to give so many local residents a great veterinary care option. Plus, we’ll have some cool artsy touches in the clinic - we’re excited to support and be part of the RiNo vibe. More on that soon…

One of the most rewarding things for us at Sploot Veterinary Care is reaching out to the community and working alongside establishments that create a thriving, pet-friendly environment. 

Last September 27, 2022, we paid a visit to Edit Apartments, a pet-friendly residence in Downtown Denver that is also praised for its convenient location and great amenities. 

We hosted a special event to give the residents of Edit Apartments the Sploot experience — with free swag, treats, and more! We gave away free tennis balls, bandanas, stickers, koozies, and magnets. We also treated pets and pet parents to delicious bacon donuts and bacon maple bars.

Throughout the day, we had a Polaroid booth where we invited pets and pet parents to take cute pictures together for keeps! 

Last but not least, we gave away stellar coupon codes for Edit Apartment residents so they can enjoy special discounts at Sploot. We had a blast meeting our RiNo neighbors!

On top of its pet-friendly policies, Edison at Rino is also highly praised for its modern amenities, great location, and friendly staff. It was the perfect spot for Sploot’s Paw-Preciation event!

So what is the Paw-Preciation event all about? It’s exactly what it sounds like, an appreciation for the furry companions that are there for us through it all — whether it’s a career change, an outdoor adventure, or a cross-country move. Sploot hosted Paw-Preciation at Edison Apartments on September 16, 2022, to pay tribute to our four-legged, loyal companions.

We gave away free toys, treats, swag (e.g., bandanas, stickers, koozies, magnets), and more! We served up bacon donuts and had bacon bubbles for the pups to chase. It was a day of heartfelt appreciation, fun, and wagging tails!

On Saturday, April 30 @ 9am, we will be hosting Chill Out Dog Training for a one hour class, where we will review basic obedience commands with effective treat luring, begin working on manners around dogs and people, and build the foundation of a loose leash walk. We’ll break down the skills to give you the knowledge and tools to begin refining obedience, improving manners, setting the stage for the walk, and troubleshooting any one-off behaviors. This is an exclusive event for friends of Sploot and Chill Out Dog Training! One hour sessions with Chill Out's' advanced trainers go for $275, so this is a steal!
